The capital of Oster, Aldonis is a large city by any standard. Like many of the cities within the Southern Baronies, it is divided up into Palace, Market, City and Industrial districts. The palace sits on a natural island within the wide expanse of the River Talon. The grass verge before the palace is referred to as Hangman’s Bluff, and it days gone by those accused of a crime would cross the Justice bridge to have their case heard by the Baron in the palace. Those found innocent would cross the innocence bridge and return to their lives, whilst those found guilty would join the hangman on Hangman’s Bluff and enjoy the feel of his rope.
